Who this notice is from
I am Liahn, an independent tattoo artist working in Sydney and on occasional guest spots in Bali. This site, liahntattoo.com, is run by me; there is no agency or studio chain behind it. If anything here is unclear, write to bookings@liahntattoo.com.
What you give me
When you send a booking enquiry I receive the fields you fill in on the form. These include your name, email address, phone number, Instagram handle, a description of the piece you have in mind, placement, approximate size, skin tone selection, preferred date and a brief health check. If you attach reference images, those are also received.
If you go on to pay the $100 AUD deposit, PayPal handles the payment itself; I receive a reference number, the amount and the currency. I do not see your card details.
What this site collects automatically
Each visit logs the basic technical information any website receives; your IP address, browser type and the pages you opened. I use this only to keep the site working and to catch fraudulent enquiries.
The site also loads Meta Pixel and sends matching events to the Meta Conversions API. This is the tracking layer that lets me measure whether my Instagram and Facebook ads are reaching people who actually go on to book. In plain language, when you visit the booking page or send an enquiry the site tells Meta that a visit or an enquiry happened. When you send an enquiry or pay a deposit, the same event is sent to Meta a second time from this server with your email and phone number cryptographically hashed (a one way transformation that cannot be reversed back into the original value). Meta uses the hashed values to match the event to an existing Meta user where one exists, and discards the hash when no match is found. Raw email and phone numbers are never sent to Meta.
I do not use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or any other third party analytics on this site.
How long things are kept
Booking enquiries are kept while there is an open conversation about a piece, and for a reasonable period afterwards so I can recognise returning clients and reference earlier discussions. Paid deposits and the associated booking records are kept for as long as Australian tax and business records law requires.
Web server logs are short lived; reference image uploads are retained alongside the booking record they belong to.
Who else sees your information
Only the services I rely on to run the booking flow. Resend delivers the email I send back to you; Upstash Redis stores the booking record; Vercel Blob stores any reference images; PayPal processes the deposit; Meta receives the conversion events described above. None of these are sold your data.
Asking me to delete your information
You can ask me to delete the booking enquiry and any reference images at any time. Email bookings@liahntattoo.com from the address you used to enquire and I will remove the record within a reasonable time. Records tied to a completed payment may need to be kept in a reduced form to satisfy tax obligations; I will tell you what was kept and why.
You can also opt out of Meta’s ad targeting in your Meta Accounts Center ad settings; that applies across every site that uses the Meta Pixel.
Changes to this notice
If anything material changes I will update the date at the top of this page. There is no mailing list to notify; please come back and read it if you are unsure.
